Joel Waldfogel, an economist in the College of Minnesota and author from the book “Scroogeonomics: The Reason Why You Should not Buy Presents for that Holidays,” states we have to re-think the present-giving process.
“The issue with giving gifts is not related to the intentions, individuals are good. However when we allocate assets through giving gifts, we all do it inside a type of perverse way.
